Unreliable power and internet

I was planning on typing up notes about Georgetown on the day we left but since then we have had unreliable internet and my computer hasn't been charging well. I can update the blog on a phone or tablet but it is a real pain in the butt and very difficult to post photos.

Here is a quick update:

We spent two weeks in Georgetown waiting for for some mail and having a great time hanging out with other cruisers. The highlight for the kids was catching a giant lobster with their new Hawaiian sling. Unfortunately the lobster season closed as of April 1st so that is their one and only catch.

After Georgetown we headed to the "sout side" of Great exuma Island which is gorgeous cruising ground but entirely deserted as only boats with a very shallow draft can cruise here. Right now we are anchored in complete seclusion and haven't seen another living soul except dolphins in 48 hours.

We should be back in civilization late tomorrow so look for a proper update.

  1. Love reading and seeing pics about your adventures. Glad to hear all is going well overall. Here, Dishes kicked butt in our home opener...yay, tight game but we pulled it off. Was really nice getting to skate with the alumni and hear all the stories and what derby used to be like. We are all missing you. Ask Meg D about the moment her opposing teams coach tells her to call it off and she does. Good times, but yours are much much warmer. Enjoy a few drinks and a warm swim for me. Good night.
